All About Invisalign®

Invisalign has been around for over two decades and is currently the most popular alternative to conventional braces in the world. We recommend Invisalign to teens and adults who want to straighten their teeth discreetly and conveniently. 

Invisalign uses clear aligner trays made of a high-tech plastic to gradually transition teeth into proper alignment. The trays are removable for eating and drinking as well as brushing and flossing, making them suitable for patients who do not want to disrupt their normal routine for braces. 

How Invisalign® Works

When you come into our office for your initial consultation, we will talk about your goals to determine if Invisalign can help. Next, we will use a handheld digital scanner to map out your mouth. The high-definition digital images we create with the scanner will give us all the information we need to create your personal treatment plan. We can estimate how long your treatment will take and even show you a preview of your straight smile. 

After about two weeks, we’ll ask you to return to our office to get your clear aligners! We’ll give you everything you need for successful treatment, and you’ll leave wearing your first set of Invisalign aligners. You will wear them for about two weeks, or as long as the doctor instructs you to, and then exchange them for the next set in the series. We’ll ask you to come back in occasionally to ensure your treatment is progressing as planned.
